Zeke Finn - What you need (DC#6)

Ever wondered what you would get if you mixed Portgual. The Man with Foster The People? Zeke Finn’s ‘What You Need’ is your answer.

Grown in Ithaca - Hustled in Brooklyn - Living in Los Angeles.

Raised in Ithaca, New York, to beat-artist parents, Zeke Finn grew up surrounded by open spaces and music. “Since I was a kid, we would go to the annual Grassroots festival and perform with a traveling circus every summer. My dad’s mandolin, combined with all these hippie parties and jams, man, that was my music.”

Fast-forward to 2019, after a stint in New York, Zeke’s desire to relocate to Los Angeles became a reality, and Zeke equipped himself with a one-way ticket to LAX and a couch where he could crash. In the ensuing days, barely weeks, Zeke found himself at The Village Recorder Studios in Santa Monica with producer Kennedy (writer/producer of 10,000 Emerald Pools/BØRNS, Grizfolk, and Striking Matches). It’s here that Zeke’s vocals found their way onto ‘What You Need’, a song created by BØRNS & Kennedy.

To celebrate the release of ‘What You Need’ on Norwegian label Diamond Club, the label will be running a competition to win a trip to LA in conjunction with Discover LA. Details to come.
